How do I get the smell of cigarette smoke out of a wooden desk?

I just bought a home office used office. It is solid wood. I did not know that it smelled so badly of cigarette smoke until it has been delivered and is now sitting in my house non-smoking. Would Murphy's Oil Soap Work?

As it is probably a movie "Smoke on the desktop, use Murphy's Oil Soap on the outside and inside the drawers, and once dry, put a newspaper Lighters with charcoal on it, in the drawers and change every few days.

Is it possible to use a car head-unit (aftermarket) for home office use on my desk?

Is it possible to use a car head-all-purpose home office on my desktop? Compatibility issues between AC and DC? Proper grounding techniques? Can I connect speakers to the standard system or should I use speakers of the car (I could build a box for them)?
