what is the most easy to learn: Linux administration or web development?

I am an experienced 48 per cent and I would like to go Linux or Windows Administration on the ground. But I wonder if web development is also a good alternative? Whether certain recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Web development is certainly easier, but it means there is much competition.

If you can train yourself to become a solid Linux admin, you'll have less trouble finding jobs that pay well in the long term.
