Keep your Dell. The G3 is old, from around 1998 or not. You'll be very disappointed. If you are looking for a used Mac, do not buy anything more than a G5.

I have a question. I currently own an iBook G3 with a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive, so I was wondering, I could buy a player DVD-RW/CD-RW and put it in my computer, even if the new disk # has not been made by the Apple brand?
Sometimes, but be very careful.
It can be difficult with drivers and everything else. I recommend you do a search for "[name of player you are looking for compatibility] iBook +" in Google first.
