He examines the sphere of the northern and southern lights that have dazzled humans for centuries and also explores “the images auroras have created in the benignant imagination. This book is described by the publisher as the first to feature the marine life of the Pacific Northwest and one of the few that focus on a chilly-water location. Photographer David Hall of Woodstock, N. Y. found stunning images to record when he went diving off North America’s West Sea-coast. Hall’s work has also been published in National Geographic, Smithsonian, Sierra, Time and many other journals. Dan Borolotti is a novelist whose work has appeared in Canadian Geographic, Equinox and the children’s magazine, Owl.
